Gayla Martin (b. 1985, Rockport, MA) uses printmaking, painting, and textiles to create a portrait of a place. Martin earned a BA from Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY and received her MFA from The City College of New York, CUNY, New York, NY. The artist has participated in group shows at The Local Project, LIC, NY, and The Colin Chase Gallery, The City College of New York, New York, NY. In 2022 she was awarded a residency at Catwalk Art Residency, Catskill, NY. Martin currently resides in Queens, New York and manages a custom frame shop and art gallery in Long Island, NY.
